Dear Players, Coaches, Parents, and Supporters
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to St Andrew’s School for the Independent Schools Rugby Festival. We are thrilled to host this special event, bringing together schools from across the country to celebrate the game of rugby, its traditions, and the values it instils in young players.
This festival is an opportunity for our U19 (and U16) teams to showcase their talent, resilience, and teamwork. More importantly, it is a chance to play the game in the true spirit of sportsmanship-one that fosters mutual respect, camaraderie, and a deep love for the sport. Rugby has a unique way of forging lifelong friendships between players, while coaches reunite and rekindle old friendships, sharing in the passion for the game.
To our spectators, we encourage you to support and uplift the teams in a spirit of positivity and good sportsmanship. Let us remember that the true measure of this festival is not only in the results on the field but in the bonds formed and the memories created along the way.
A special word of thanks to Mr. Pietersen and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for their tireless efforts in ensuring the smooth running of this event. We are immensely proud of the hospitality that St Andrew’s extends to its guests, and we trust that your experience here will be both memorable and enjoyable.
We extend our gratitude to our sponsors, media partners, support staff, and parents who have contributed their time and resources to make this festival possible. Your dedication and involvement are truly appreciated.
As the festival concludes, we wish all parents and visitors a safe journey home. May the friendships made, and the lessons learned on and off the field stay with you for years to come.
Enjoy the rugby and the camaraderie!
Yours Truly,
Roland Rudd
